Character modelling is something I think I can learn through playing around and experimentation, as I am already familiar with the tools and techniques involved. Character rigging is a little more complex. therefore I am currently working through the Alias training guide "Learning Maya 5: Character rigging and animation." This should quickly take me up to a level whereby the difficulty of rigging TiggerBush at the final stage is lessened, and at least I have somewhere to go from.
Research is sketchy at the moment, though technical research is readily available, I need to research the broader context of what I am doing. Since the character is essentially a mascot for advertising, I should look at existing computer generated TV mascots, as I am sure there are common techniques and guidlines between them.
